Backup24 automatically stores an encrypted copy of your data offsite in our two datacenters.

After installing the Backup24 program (download it here), select the folders and/or files you want to protect, in the "Backup view" under "explore to pick files".

The Backup24-program will check daily what has been changed or added to the selected data. No action needed, it's automatic!

The Backup24-program will encrypt this backup-data before transmission (so it becomes unreadable for anyone that does not have the encryption-key, Encryption protocol AES = Advanced Encryption Standard) and compress it. Ultimately, the small and unreadable data-packets are sent over an internet-link to our two super-protected backup-datacenters.

When you lose data, all you need to do is select the needed file(s) in the "Retrieve view" of the Backup24-program, and the data is retrieved an unencrypted immediately (24/24 and 7/7). When you are not on the same machine and need to retrieve a file, there is also the possibility to use a normal WebBrowser and restore your files via our WebRestore webinterface.

Backup24 does not have any limits on the number of backup-sessions or data retrievals.

In this chapter you can find more details on the Security, the versions we store and the efficiency of our solution.
