It is important for a Backup-solution that it allows to recover older versions from the same file.

This is needed if a file is accidentally overwritten with a new version, and that new version is also backupped. With Backup24 you will be able to retrieve earlier versions of the file.

We store the 10 most recent backup-versions of each file. The most recent backup of a file is always kept, the other versions are only kept till they are 90 days old.

If you remove files from your computer, or they are deleted by any other means, Backup24 still stores the file(s) for 90 days.

If you remove a file from the backup selection in the Backup24 program yourself, are still kept by the datacenter for 30 days.

Should a file be overwritten or deleted, or you want to revert to an earlier version of a file, the "Retrieve view" shows you all available files and versions. With a few mouseclicks the wanted file is restored.

Example: You open an existing Word-document to become the base for a new document. After all changes you save the document to the harddisc. But you forgot to change the name of the saved file, so the original is overwritten and lost. With Backup24 you can see all previous versions that are stored on our servers, and restore the original. This overwriting is a very common mistake, now it is easy to fix!
